In April 2023, Lars and Ruben embarked on a journey to the United States. During their exploration, they were struck by a noticeable absence of fresh, healthy food options. Additionally, they were surprised to find that there were almost no food establishments serving Döner Kebab, a beloved, popular dish commonly enjoyed in their homeland Germany. This realization sparked an idea that quickly solidified in their minds.

Determined to fill this culinary void, Lars and Ruben decided to open their own restaurant. They envisioned a place where people could enjoy not only healthy, freshly prepared meals, but also experience the unique flavor of Döner Kebab loved by so many across Europe and the Middle East. Thus, TWISTED MEATS was born, with a mission to offer clean, delicious food to the local community, while bringing one of popular food staples from their culture to Southern California.

After months of meticulous planning, strategizing and hard work, the original TWISTED MEATS finally opened it's doors in the summer of 2023 in Thousand Oaks, CA. The restaurant quickly gained a reputation as the perfect spot for clean eating. Customers were drawn to the unique flavors and high-quality ingredients and their creative twist on Döner Kebab.

What sets TWISTED MEATS apart is the commitment to staying open late, in a community where clean eating options are scarce, especially during late night hours. TWISTED MEATS stands out as the only restaurant of it's kind open until midnight. This unique feature has made it a go-to destination for health-concious night owls and anyone else looking for a nutritious meal after a long day.
